Director Chakri Toleti had made some changes to the script of Billa 2 and accordingly he felt that certain characters had to be recast. So Huma Qureshi had to leave the project. Now we hear that a replacement has been finalized.
It is none other than Parvati Omanakuttan, winner of the Miss India World crown in 2008. She is no stranger to acting and is currently doing a Malayalam film with Major Ravi in which she has a double role. The former beauty queen has also done a Hindi film called United Six. But her third film is a biggie as she has a coveted part next to one of the biggest superstars in the country, Ajith Kumar.
On roping in Parvathy, Sunir Kheterpal, CEO – IN Entertainment and Producer of Billa 2, said, "Parvathy was outstanding in her auditions and completely understood the subtle nuances of this pivotal role. She has an attitude and a screen presence, which will take her places. Later this week, she will be joining the unit in Goa, where Billa 2 is currently shooting".
Confirming her association with the film, Parvathy said, "It is like a dream to be making my debut in the Tamil Film Industry with Ajith Sir. I am delighted to be a part of the Billa Franchise and can't wait to start work on the Film."
